Spring 2011
Spring at last! After winter, life is renewed and the light always overcomes the dark when Jesus is in the house!
Life at the Wesley Campus has continued to be both busy and exciting. Christmas was a special time for our NCC family and our first in the “big church”, our first outdoor “Carols and Candlelight” and also a truly giant Christmas tree that even made it into the newspapers! The New Year was welcomed in and dedicated to God in a special midnight New Year’s Eve service – another first.
Since then we have welcomed a number of visitors and newcomers to NCC, including those precious ones who have given their hearts to the Lord after coming to NCC for the first time at Wesley. We are amazed at what God is doing and to see him at work. In 12 months he has opened up this awesome place with the capacity he promised, in a prime central location and with such a prominent face to the community – nothing less than a miracle.
For this reason we are looking forward throughout 2011 and beyond to seeing God’s plans continue to unfold. Our vision is to see the church full of people building relationships with Jesus and each other, where renewal, refreshing and healing are the natural results of worship, praise and prayer. This is why we will be launching “Discovering God’s Heart for His House” to ensure the future stages of the development project are fully aligned to God’s plans and timing not just ours: we need your prayers, support and comments (“God Ideas” not just “good ideas”) to help us. Please do let us have any feedback via the How Can I Help? link.
Our priority remains to replace the roof as Winter has highlighted the leaks
and lack of insulation! We are now much nearer to being able to go ahead.
